Ideas needed for when to ask god parents/unique ways of asking them?

heya, not sure of a unique way but i was asked to be godparent to my nephew(brothers son) about 10weeks before his birth.. my sis has 4 boys from 14 to 21months and im the 'if anything happens i'll take you all in' person for them. both times i was asked over the phone hehe

for dd#1 i asked my sis n her hubby to be godparents but we never had a christening or anything.. we're not religious so its more so when we have a naming day.

maybe wait till bub is born and put his/her footprints in a card asking from the bub for the couple to be its godparents.. really not sure hey! goodluck!

We decide during the pregnancy and ask them anytime after 30 weeks. No unique ways...asked them in person and the last two we asked via e-mail...just coicidental..not our usual method
