Hi Ladies! Does anyone use preseed? And can you buy it from a pharmacy? Not a huge fan of buying things online with credit card.

Hi :wave: I got some pre-seed for this month and bought it online with my opk's from http://www.lullabyconceptions.com/onlineshop/index.php I ordered the platinum pack last Sunday and got it on Monday. Their opk's seem to be way better than the ovunow ones which I was using. Good luck ;) I am pretty sure you could send a money order or direct dep if u don't have a c/card.

I would ask at your pharmacy whether they could order it in for you, just go in and ask to speak to the pharmacist.

Yes it arrived very quickly- I requested express post as I knew I would ovulate within the next week. I got 40 opk's, 10 preg tests, pre-seed and some bath salts for around $65 + $7 postage. I did pay by c/card but it was a secure site - also if you are worried about entering your details on the net you could always phone through your details.

Also - sorry I didn't get it on the Monday - but on the Tuesday .... sorry blonde moment there :laughing:

I couldn't find any sperm-friendly L at the chemists when I was looking. Without giving TMI - the pre-seed is really nice ;)

my lube is 'Ansell Lifestyles' and I got it from big W.

It says on the back "This product does not contain spermicidal or viricidal agents" So I think Im safe..

Was only like $12 a thingy too, and its strawberry flavour lol :o

We tried without any lube the other day and I ended up stinging all night lol :o

Hi again Baileys Mummy and Princessah :) Just found this info on lubricant - just make sure the Ansell one does not contain glycerin or propylene glycol and it should be all good. Good luck :thumbsup:

"Additionally, a common misconception is that if a lubricant does not contain a spermicide or if it is water soluble, it will not impair sperm function. Unfortunately, this is completely inaccurate. Water based lubricants often have glycerin (which has been shown to be toxic to sperm) and propylene glycol both of which are highly hyperosmotic. This results in irreversible damage to sperm and a loss in motility after exposure to commercial lubricants. Damage to sperm and subsequent inability of the sperm to penetrate into the cervix following contact with lubricants may prevent conception in some couples, resulting in consequences such as undesired childlessness"

Ill check the ingriedients in the ansell lube and see if it contains that stuff.

Has anyone ever conceived using a standard lube? Or does everyone buy preseed???

I think preseed is made to be benificial to sperm and also to lubricate whereas most other lubes are just to lubricate.

Preseed comes in squirty applicators that you stick inside and squirt in so the fluid gets right to your cervix and can help the sperm swim up. It is alo ph balanced I believe to match your own body.

soooooooo....correct me if I'm wrong, would pre seed help if you don't have much CM? I'm starting on Clomid next week, and they say it can decrease the amount of CM your body produces. Can't remember if thats what happened with me when on Clomid to TTC DD :confused:

If it does help with providing good CM for little wimmers, i'll def be buying some preseed! :D :o

Hi again :) Preeseed only comes in little applicators - and is quite expensive because there is nothing else like it available. If it doesn't gross you out too much - egg whites do the same trick. Just seperate the whites and let them get to room temperature before using ...... seems wierd hey - but is heaps cheaper :laughing:

Just to let u girls know that u can fall preg on 'normal' lub but it probably just takes a little longer.
I fell preg on the 4th mth of using lub where as with DS we didn't use it and we got preg first time.
