Just wondering if anyone can shed some light.

Every time MJ eats anything like muslei bars etc, she holds & rubs her ear & screams. Its only with these though. Always the left ear.

Would it be the consistency that hurts her newly cut back teeth (they cut a few weeks ago), or maybe her ears popping??

I've had her ears checked repeatedly & they tell me they are clear. But this really hurts her. She ends up with tears streaming down her face.

Does anyone elses bub do the same?

I've had this with my 2 of my kids and when it happens they always have ear infections ! ! ! The last time was ear and throat infections, I'd go to the Dr and get her fully checked over, if the teeth cut through a few weeks ago they shouldn't still be hurting.

Hopefully you can get it sorted really soon. Lots of :hugs: coming your way.

Has it always happened or just recently? (like since she cut her back teeth)
Does she ever do this with other food?

The molars (I have found) seem to hurt when they first cut, then settle, then they start to hurt again as the other side of the molar breaks through. That's just my experience, maybe this is it.

Another thing, chewing helps to clear the Eustachian tubes that why chewing when you are taking off in a plane helps to pop your ears. Perhaps there's some sort of connection there, maybe the sound of the muslie bar is very loud to her, or maybe chewing back that far is clearing the tubes. ( they often fill with mucus because they are so small and are more on the horizontal than adults.)

hope that helps.

Thanks guys.

It only happens when she eats muslie bars (the 1-3 yr old ones). Its happened a few times, but again only when eating these over the past few months. She can eat anything else & is fine.

Maybe its because she's biting off more than she can chew and has to open her mouth really wide
