View Full Version : Introducing meat
My 6 and a half month old has been eating a selection of fruits and veggies since 5 months old with little to no fuss. I am thinking of introducing some meat into his diet like chicken or lamb. I was just wondering what is this best way to cook them to give it the best consistency when pureeing the meat?
Dear Frenchy Casseroles, stews, slow cookers or braises keep the meat moist and soft which makes it easier to either puree or mince.
Flaky meats like mince meat sauce or tuna dishes are also appropriate moist textures to begin with. Add meat juices or vegetable juices when you are pureeing rather than gravies or stock which will increase the salt content hence not ideal.
