Hi All

Haven't had a chance to pop in as of yet but just a quick post to let you all know that we have had the joy of welcoming our new addition to the world at 3.44am on 26/10/2006.

Kayley Anne came into the world weighing 7lb 5 ounces. She was 50.5cm long and had a head circumference of 34cm. Apgars were 8 and 9.

Mum is doing OK - a bit tired at the moment just trying to catch up on everything, deal with visitors and get used to having a baby in the house. Cant wait until the stitches are gone!

Well thats all I have tiume for at the moment with a few things to catch up on. Good luck with all those still waiting on your arrivals - I am sure they will be here and you will be baby gazing very soon!

Yay Andrea- Happy birthday to you too, I hope your getting spoilt!!!!

I got an amazing big wooden rocking chair to feed in and rock Nedd to sleep from DF, and some flowers delivered from Nedd, so I am very lucky!!!

It's quiet in here today, hope that means lots of mums in labour!!!:yelclap:

Hi, I wanted to drop in really quickly to say that baby Giles was born right on his due date of 22nd October.
He was born at 8:27am at Mercy Hospital by emergency C-section as I had made it to 8cm dialated in 6hrs of labouring but he was still only 1/5 or 2/5 engaged in the pelvis....well that and he was a big boy, born 9lb 4oz!!!!
We stayed in hopital for 5 days and had a fantastic recovery. We are now at home (with internet access....wow I missed it) and settling in really well.
Congrats to everyone else, I'll have to read back through the posts and see whats been happening over the past few weeks.
Will write a more detailed story soon.

Hi all,

happybirthday Andrea and Sal. I hope you are both having a fantastic day.

Congratulations s'mores and welcome to baby Giles :yelclap: , what a great name (These October bubs have been given great names!) I'm glad you are recovering well and everything is going well for you all.

Well I had my last OB appointment today :smiliedance: . I had to have an internal to see if I was dialated to see what method of induction would be needed if I need to be induced. Well I was only 1cm...but that's better than nothing right? So if it's not born before (and my OB seemed to think that it would be) I'll be induced on Monday morning and because I have already started dialating, he'll just break my waters. He then sent me off to the hospital for a CTG because I am now officially overdue and all was great with the baby.

I've still been having really strong BH and dh seems to think that it all could happen sooner rather than later...but it seems that I'll definitely be having a November baby.

So who is left now? Is it just JuzP, firstbub, diesal and me???

Well take care everyone. Hopefully next time that I post it will be to announce that my baby has arrived (but I'm not banking on it :p )

Hi All

Hope everyone who is still waiting doesn't have long to go now. I am another who finds it hard to believe that Adam is already 12 days old. We have had non stop visitors. I think this lot leave on Thursday and the next lot arrive on Saturday. It has taken more out of me than I thought it would. Feeling VERY over it tonight. First teary day I've had but I've really got it.

Sue - I can't believe your little bloke drinks that much lol. I am b/f and it seems to be going well. I decided today to express some feeds so John can feed him his final feed for the night. Between both boobs I got 60ml.....maybe that's why Adam likes to have entree, main and sweets at each feed. He is waking roughly every 2 hours during the day and sleeps for 5-6 hours straight at night. I guess he's not starving or we'd know.

Once again GOOD LUCK to all who are still waiting :fingerscrossed:
Congratulations to those who have had their bundles:smiliedance:

and all the best for everyone

Hi Everyone

happybirthday Sal and Andrea for yesterday... Hope you both had a great day! Sal, that rocking chair sounds great.

S'mores - Congratulations on the arrival of your son, Giles... cant wait to read your birth story.

Congratulations to everyone else who i have missed... I will be sure to catch up with you in the "Birth Groups" thread!

Wow Sare, I dont think you will be hanging around until Monday so good luck!

di_matt - I know what you mean about them growing quickly.... My little man is 6 weeks already! When I got out of hospital the health care nurse came around for 4 days after because i only stayed in over night... on her last day she asked me if i have made Jacob an appointment for his 6 - 10 day check yet.... i couldnt believe he was 5 days then... it went so quick!! Enjoy the quality time with your bub and hubby before your next guests arrive and make sure you get plenty of rest.

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well and your bubs are doing great.

Good luck to those who are left, wish you all the best.

Christy

Hi all,

Well we're STILL here :banghead:

Sal - Glad you had a good birthday. I often check over in the birth thread to see how you are all going with your bubs and to see what's in store for me. Hopefully I'll be joining you all soon.

Di - That's great that Adam is sleeping so long at night...he'd need to so that you can cope with all the visitors you've been having.

Anyone else still waiting for bubs? It's getting very lonely in here:crying:

Take care,
Sare

STILL HERE :banghead:
Now officially 6 days overdue and officially over it!!!
Had appointment with OB today and he decides to spring on me that he will be doing an internal
Cant say i have EVER had one of those before and i thought ok well must be kinda like a pap smear or something...... BOT WAS I WRONG!!!...
That was so gad damn painful it brought tears to my eyes. I was laying there thinking .. you had better get used to this luv coz giving birth is goin to be 100 times more painful.......So after he finished he said my cervix is thinning out... so in other words no dilation as yet and he wants to do some monitoring of bubs in the next few days. If nothing by monday... ANOTHER INTERNAL..... and inducing on tues or wed.
Now i am really starting to feel pains round my hip and back region. I applaud those mums whom already have children to look after and being seriously pregnant.. YOU LADIES DESERVE A MEDAL FOR SURE
So now we will be november mummas :smiliedance:
Take care all and i be thinking of the final few

I am over waiting. This baby shows no signs of wanting to exit.

DD has been pretty good for the last few days, but is sick of being house-bound. I haven't got a car at the moment. I've lent it to mum as hers broke down yesterday and she's the person who'll be looking after DD while i'm in hospital. She lives about 40 minutes away, and dad needs his car for work, so she'd be stuck if I needed her pronto. It's not like I want to go anywhere anyway...I feel like a beached whale and am starting to get uncomfortable walking around.

I hope the rest of the late-comers are doing ok and that it wont be too long for any of us.

:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
