Hi ladies :) Im due to have #2 in december and looking at getting a carrier as dd is quite an energetic toddler and need my hands free. I have been looking at the Manduca as it doesnt need an insert like the ergo and actually feels a little lighter. I need something thats good for warm weather but I wont be going out in 40+ degree days and if I do it will be in aircon anyway...So has anyone got one? or heard anything about them?
hi i am in the same situation...due in november and my ds will be 23months. I have an ergo but used it once with ds...we got it late and i just didnt like it...i have tried it on a few more times and just doesnt feel right.
I ordered a manduca the other week and it arrived yesterday, i have tried it on once and love it already :)
obviously yet to try it with a baby but i like it better already...i think there are some videos on their website also.

Hi yes I have one I love it! I bought it when my bubs was around 10 weeks old and still use it now she is almost 1. It was probably the best baby thing I have bought. I used it all through summer too. It isnt the coolest fabric but I think any sling were your baby is so close to you is going to be a little hot. I tried on the ergo in the shop with my heart set on it but found the Manduca much more comfortable. Also handy not to have to buy the newborn insert. The position bubs is in is so comfy for them and you. Once you get the hang of putting it on it is very quick and easy.
My little girl was quite a crier and colicky as they say so I carried her everywhere in my sling. It was the only place she would calm down and within minutes would be asleep. Even one day she was crying for hours and i tried everything she was VERY worked up I put her in the sling and she screamed only till the end of the street then she was sound asleep!! Magic!
My bubs was also a big baby (10lbs born) and I found it so comfy with no strain on my back at all (I have a bit of a dodge back too) and now she is 10kgs I can easily still wear her comfier on the back though.
Even at this age she still falls asleep in there!! So cute:)
Anyway hope that helps!
