Had Our First Ultrasound Today

Well we went for our first ultrasound - never had one this early before but the suspense was killing me. The tech was really nice and found the sac but said that because we were only 6w 3d it was too small to see much more and offered me the choice of an internal US. Since I have no shame any longer (after one MC and giving birth once :o ) I said go ahead!! This showed up a lot clearer and also had a little heartbeat - phew!! Few anxious moments let me tell you. So everything measured fine and she said heartbeat was perfect for how far we were. Now we have a 3wk wait until our first OB appt - the good part with this is that he has an US machine in his rooms so will check us at that appt as well.

So glad everythings going OK!!!:smiliedance: It's such a worry in the first weeks... I think we should all get an U/S after the 1st Dr's appointment!

So, because you OB has an U/S machine, does this mean you will have a little look at every appointment? How exciting!!!

Unfortunately Bexta we only have a couple with him. Normally just until the baby is big enough to feel then he relies on touch and the doppler. But it is nice to have the facility if we need it.
