Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if it alright to ttc straight after stopping the pill. I just read somewhere that you should wait a month to have a normal menstrual cycle - my question is, why? Does anyone know? Thanks heaps!!!

I don't know why sorry, but heaps of people I know have fallen preg on their first cycle (I am sure I am one of them!!) I don't think it would be a bad thing, look at people who have fallen pregnant while still ON the pill!!
Good luck!
Hi anna's mum,
I stopped taking the pill 3 months ago and started trying but my cycles havent gone back to normal yet. i think it may take some time to go back to every 28 days. at moment is has been CD29, 37 and today its 31 and still waiting for periods....... hopefully they dont come!!!!:fingerscrossed:
But no i dont believe you would have to wait.;)

I asked my gynaecologist before I started TTC if I needed to wait and she said it was absolutely fine to start trying straight away - if there was any residue from the pill you wouldn't be ovulating!
I was lucky enough to concieve first cycle after coming off the pill, and had no problems at all :D .
Good luck!

Thanks! I was just a bit scared there was a medical reason but it seems not ... My SIL got pregnant while on the pill & her son is just perfect, so I shouldn't have worried :)
