I am wondering if it is safe to feed my daughter multigrain bread/toast at 8 months age?

I am wanting to introduce a new lunch for her, and I was thinking a piece of toast cut up with some cheese on it. Should I be putting some canola spread on it as well?

She seems to do well with "chunks" and I don't puree any of her food anymore. At the moment she eats either raw grated apple/pear with jalna vanilla yogurt.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Stumbleine, yes it's fine give your daughter multigrain toast at 8 -9 months of age. Cheese and canola are good choices. She is now at an age where you can introduce more variety and texture as she seems to be managing well. You could also try cereal rusks and finely chopped or minced chicken, red meat and fish. Soft cooked vegetables and perhaps try sliced soft fruits like banana with Jalna yoghourt.
