hi all

I am after some advice.

I am going to run christmas holiday science workshops for children. not just straight science ..... also crafty stuff and some christmas themed ones. These workshops are fun, not heavy on the science or academic side of things (though may run more in depth workshops if there is a demand).

What sorts of activities do you think would be interesting?

Are there activities and crafts you do not do at home with your children because they are too messy, too hard or it is difficult to find the equipment required?

These workshops will take place around south-east queensland locations. I am currently looking to hire venues, so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Happy to repay the favour with discounts for your children to attend the workshops

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi - I might be seeing things, but did I just see this same thread on another forum?? :)
Anyways, my chn like cooking based type activities, I'm actually looking for something like cooking classes for them for the holidays, we live in a very foodie type town but haven't found anything yet.

Good luck with your workshops, they sound like fun!

yes I have posted on 2 other unrelated website forums!
Looking for a range of opinions and each of the 3 websites and their forums have different demographics (with a few nice people overlapping!)

Thanks for your replies!

My planning is going well and I am keen to hear any suggestions

I'd say painting & cooking too. My DD loves painting but we dont do it that often because its too messy and she likes to eat it  Also how about making christmas stockings?

Just wanted to add that you will probably need a "Blue Card" :)
Let us know what you come up with.
