Did you have gastric bypass surgery, then struggle to carry a baby to term because they weren't getting enough nutrients?

A leading women's magazine are asking mothers to come forward with their stories in the hopes that sharing them may make others think before taking the risky surgery if they want to have children at a later date.

We promise to be sympathetic and will be happy to make a financial contribution to the family or a charity of their choosing. We'd also be happy to make a full read back before the article goes to print.

This is so sad.

One reason my doctor wouldn't give me the gastric bypas (I have the lap band) is because I want more children and the band can be adjusted to ensure that any future pregnancies can get all the nutrients needed.

I have a gastric sleeve ( the weight loss op where they remove 3/4 of your stomach) and I am currently 6 weeks pregnant.
There are lots of women that have this op to improve their chance of having a baby.
If your interested please check out the gastric sleeve support site. The is a sub section on womens business, then pregnancy with the sleeve. Some of women children are now toddlers.
Feel free to pm if you want info.

Bypass is alot riskier than just the sleeve....

But im curious will this article be accurate? As accurate as the breastfeeding made me infertile article?
