Hi all

I got a set of 20 mcns that are pea pod brand. They look great and an anxious to get out of using disposables but even the smallest setting is way to big for my 4 week old.

When did you start using them? Is it a weight thing??

Thanks!

We use bum genius one size fits all. We started at about 2 or 3 days old when DD was 3kg. We had to have them on the smallest and tightest setting but they seemed ok. If you are really keen to ditch the sposies maybe try Terry toweling flats. I just added the to my nappy pile and they are surprisingly easy to use and clean. I use the 'Scottish fold' which has held in all poo explosions so far and DD is now 10 weeks.

Once your LO fits into your mcns, you can ditch the terry toweling. They make great spew rags, breast feeding covers, blankets, towels, etc

We started using them at about 4wks, DS2 was about 5kg. He is now 7.6kg and 4mths and is on the largest setting. They are the same nappies DS1 wore from 17mths to 2.5yrs when he toilet trained.

Pea pods arent that great, I have heard multiple times they wear out sooner rather than later.

If your looking for a small nappy to use on newborns I would use itti bitti. They have 3 different types. Can start from 3kgs

If your looking for a nappy to fit a chubba bubba. And not expensive is my ebay cheapy OSFM. My little ripples. And they are wearing well. Can start from 4kgs

I loved my peapods but my DD was 6 mths when I converted to cloth. DS used them from early on but his bubblebubs & krap katchers were the only ones that fitted at that age. I also like baby beehinds for osfm

I started using my OSFM tutto's at around 6 weeks...but they still kept leaking and just would not fit right. I left it a while, and around 12 weeks I started using them again. Now they fit perfectly and I love them!
