Hi there,
Just to introduce myself.
I'm 33 years old on Friday and expecting my second baby at the beginning of June next year . At the moment we live in the Uk but have sold our house and are moving to WA (Bunbury/Margaret River area probably) as soon as our Visas are here.
My little boy Jed is 13 months old and a total joy. I have enjoyed every moment of motherhood so far.
However, the birth was a nightmare. I got to 10cm and all was well, had an epidural (very civilised as he was back to back so incredibly painful) and started pushing. He didn't budge in over 3 hours so they tried a ventouse. That failed so it was an emergency section. I lost a lot of blood and had a uterine rupture. Sadly, this means I have to have another section, but I've heard recovery from a planned section is much quicker?
Anyway, I have private healthcare (yippee) which I've heard is fabulous in Australia? Although the Midwives in the UK are exceptional in the main, they are terribly overworked. After my operation there was only 1 midwife looking after 23 of us overnight - not good.
So, just wanted to hi really. If anyone has any advice or tips they can give me that would be great.
Good luck to all those ttc and pregnant ladies.
