Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with Hypotonic CP?
My DD (21months) has had lots of little niggling health issues since birth. We have been seeing a physio on and off for 12 months. Every time we see the physio she checks her reflexes and mentions CP. Traditionally someone with CP has hypertonia (jerky, tight movements etc) however our daughter is at the opposite end of the scale and is hypotonic. I am now worried about hypotonic CP and after googling many articles, I am now concerned that this may be something to think about. Our DD does display lots of the characteristics of hypotonic CP however I am not sure to what degree they have to be displayed. Our ''mild'' can CP be?
We are booked into see our Paed this Friday. I am not concerned about getting a ''diagnosis'', I would also be somewhat relieved with a diagnosis purely to put at ease the nagging feeling that her multiple minor health issues are somewhat linked and due to something more significant.
I want as much information as possible so I can articulate my concerns as well as possible. We have had genetic testing for a range of conditions with everything coming back negative.
If anyone has any experence with Hypotonic CP please let me know!
Thanks
