View Full Version : Nanny Agencies
Has anyone had any experience with Nanny Agencies in Melbourne or can recommend any good ones? My sister and I need a nanny for 1 day per week while we wait until January 07 to get our extra childcare space. We don't really know where to start and have exhausted our "word of mouth" options. Thanks in advance.
Hey, I trained for my childcare qualifications with Charlton Brown Group in Brisbane. They were great and also run a nanny agency. I'm fairly positive they also have an office in Melbourne. There website is...
Hope this helps :)
I have been disappointed with a couple of nanny agencies I have used In Melbourne - seemed to be much more interested in the bottom line and talking me out of short shifts ie half days when my son was young. They were also unwilling to send nannies for interviews when the post was (in my case) only two months.
We do have an excellent mummy nanny who may be able to take on an extra day of work or at least I could ask; please pm me if you wish further details.
Thanks so much for your replies!
:smiliedance: We have found a nanny. She was recommended by our child care centre as she did a placement there and they don't have work for her until next year. So the timing for us is perfect.
Milomums - Thanks for the offer, I will certainly let you know if things don't work out.
I have used "Your Time Out" services a lot, and I find her good. I have used many of Gail's girls, and they are consistently good. Her rates are reasonable too.
Another option if you want to try the private route, is to join www.findababysitter.com.au (http://www.findababysitter.com.au) I have only used this to find casual babysitters, but they seem set up for nannies as well. You have to do your own background checks, etc. though.
If you can't find a number for "Your Time Out" let me know and I'll dig it up
