I had my daughter 4 weeks ago and have had normal bleeding which started to slow down and go brownish over the last week. Yesterday it started to go red again and get a little heavier? I thought I was done with the bleeding but it seems to have started again except this time with cramping.
I just wanted to know If other mums have experienced this and if it's normal? (this is my first child)
Could it be my period already even though I'm Breastfeeding regularly?
Thank you in advanced. :)

It could be your period, or you just hadn't 'finished' bleeding yet. The cramping could be due to your uterus going back to normal size (and breastfeeding can cause cramps while this happens). With my DD1, I bled for a week, then stopped for 2 days then got my period back (i was expressing breast milk). Pretty much the same with DD2, only she was exclusively formula fed form birth. If you are concerned at all talk to your doctor or child health nurse.

Hard to say, it could still be from the birth or your period. You will probably only know if it was a period if you get another one in 4 weeks time. I was told by my MCHN that it is normal for the bleeding to stop and start up again after giving birth.
