I have tendonitis in my left hand, its sooo sore and swollen :( I went to the doc and he prescribed some pretty full on steroids to take away the inflamation, so i thought i better tell him I'm TTC and due to test on friday.
He, like a good responsible doc, sucked my blood and i get results tomorrow and we will see what they say in regards to the treatment of my hand.
This mornings (way too early) HPT was a BFN (unless you loooked reeeeeaaaaaly close, but thats another story) but can a BT tell any more accurately if you test early? he said a BFN might not be a BFN but i think he has to say that lol...
whats the general consensus?

A blood test can pick up early pregnancy hormones much earlier than most HPTs. I think a HPT needs 15 vs a blood test needing 5 of whatever the measurement is. :fingerscrossed: You get the result your after and good luck with your treatment too.

I have carpal tunnel also. I am a right leg amputee and use crutches to walk, so my hands are all kinds of worn out. I have walked on them since I was 7, so there has been many years of abuse. Why I am telling you this is I would like to know if the steriods really help. I have been to the Dr. 3 different times for my hands and all they said was to buy a special brace for them. The braces help but they make gripping my crutches to walk difficult. Just thought I would check into the steriod approach. And yes a BT can usually pick up pregnancy earlier.

Hi wantagirl,
I have only had one dose so far, last night, and this morning i have most of my modility back in my finger and significantly less pain. Considering its bene getting worse by the day,, I'm definately plesantly suprised!
Funnily enough, I've also been having shoulder pain for the last couple months, rotator cuff issues, and that pain is gone for the first time too! I'm on prednisolone 25mg, if that helps, hope you can get some relief! :D
hey alatariel whats your BT rsult?? sorry to be nosy im just dying to know:fingerscrossed::D

:( well, it was a BFN. Probably a good thing, I want to get this tendonitis fixed up without worrying what the drugs would do to a potential baby.
