Geez Louise anyone see the fruitloop on 7pm tonight? The guest speaker at the anti gay protest warning people of peadophiles being able to marry children if they allow gay marraige. How do these people survive in society with their insane beleifs? I dont beleive in marriage in general but had to make a post about how absurd the last ten minutes was.

Ps posting in same sex section not social issues to keep the people who agree with the anti gay protests out of the discussion. This is more a public statement of disbeleif.

Yes, I've never read a credible argument for anti gay marriage. Using an antiquated book of fiction as a reason is ridiculous.

I don't want to marry, but it's outrageous that those who Want to can't, and the weak willed government continue to pander to conservatives.

Some (dummass) people think that opening up marriage to SS couples means it can then be opened up to other relationships.

Yep i was also severely outraged and gobsmacked that people hold those views, it's utterly ridiculous. I love the saying if you don't support gay marriage, don't marry someone that's gay. Pretty simple really. Bunch of idiots they were at the rally.

I agree. It's an absolute crock. There would (and should) still be the same age rules as hetro marriage, so the whole marrying children argument is just poo from a big boy cow! And besides do people not realize that most pedophile activity is actually hetro based?:frustrated::frustrated:

While personally marriage ia not for me, I still believe I should have the right to choose if I want to get married or not.

Marraige is not for me either but I dont beleive in discrimination in any circumsance. What p|ssed me off was the guy saying that majority of people in the uk riots come from fatherless families! How offensive to single mothers as well or what about women whose husbands/partners have died? I don't know my father, you don't see me carrying on like that. I had some pretty sh|tty parenting and i turned out pretty well in the scheme of things.
