My dear little girl was sleeping for up to 9 hours straight when she was 3 mths old but when I lost my milk we were up every hour at night and then when I started formula it continued to be every 2-3 hours she is now almost 6 months and I have been 163 days in a row with broken sleep. I am going nuts. She did only wake 2 last night and we have been trying to settle back to sleep without a bottle but she just screams for 30 mins and then I give in. If she does fall asleep she is then awake withing 15 mins screaming again. We have persisted with the screaming for a week now and I don't see any improvement - are there any other strategies we can try or should I just feed her and try again next month.
She only ever drinks about 110 mls ever feed sometimes less. I am going mad. - If my husband tries to feed her she just screams and only gets about 30 mls before giving up and then waking up again in an hour.
some advice would be appreciated.

My daughter was the same but not as bad as your situation. I have not slept through since she was born. She was waking three times a night unitl recently.

I started solids at 5 months (three weeks ago). not a lot but she is now on 3 tspns a meal and 2 meals a day, morning tea and afternoon tea. however I did this after talking with my community help nurses. Also she is teething or at leat the teeth ar moving around and giving her greif, I was using natural products but finally settled for bonjella, I only give it to her before bed time as that is when she knaws on every thing and is grumpiest the most. The above has brought me back down to, in bed by 6.30pm, one wake up at nigh about 3 or 4 am , and at this stage i just feed her straight away and she goes straight back to sleep until 6.30.

Maybe your bubby is not so much teething, they say (who ever they are ;) ) that when a bubby is teething sucking is a soother for the pain, so if she does want a feed and to suck its prob not that.

It may be something as simple as - dont talk to her, dont turn any lights on and no eye contact, while you do what you have to do to get her back to sleep.

Good luck.
