Hi there everyone.
For some time now, my hubby and i have been talking about me having a tubal reversal and us having a baby together.
Both of us were married before and have children from those marriages, but to date we don't have any together.
Approx. 6 years ago I had a tubal ligation with the use of the filshie clips. I just found out weeks ago that i have ovarian cysts on both sides and 1 of the filshie clips has now cut right through the tube and is floating around in there somewhere. (gyno says that is no concern).
I would love to hear any of your personal stories on tubal reversal, when you went through it, was it successful, or reasons why it wasn't, and i guess the 1 thing that I wonder the most is, what if there is too muchdamage to my tubes, do they still try to do the op and do i still have to pay the full amount???? Any info at all would be greatly appreciated..
Many Thanks, Mama desperado

Hi again,
I have done much reading and research about the reversal, but it only seems to be from those that had it done and it was successful. I'd love to hear from both those that it worked and those that it didn't.
And like i said earlier i would love to know why it didn't work and whether or not you still had to pay the full cost of the operation. Cause they can't tell if it will work or not until they go in, can they???
Hubby and I have decided to go ahead with it, but not till after christmas, purely because of timing as we both work in retail and can't have time off from Nov-end of Jan....
I am getting both very impatient and nervous about it because i know it will be our last shot at it and like so many others out there that had a tl, I just don't feel complete and know i won't until i have the reversal done and have another baby......

you probably wont wanna read this but i just thought i should pop it on here, my SILs best freind had an ectopic after a tubal reversal last year , her left tube only had the smallest of kinks in it but thats all it takes.
But my SIL had the same thing as has 2 wonderful heathy kids now.
good luck with everything hun:fingerscrossed: :hugs:

Thanks so much for that darl...
Congrats to your SIL.:smiliedance: :yelclap:
But my deepest sympathy to her friend.:crying:
The info was great, just the sort of thing that i was hoping to hear about. The other thing that both really interests and worries me, is what would it take for the doc to say no, to the op, when he is in there. Has anyone had or know of anyone that had the op but was told that they had too much damage to their tubes and the reversal couldn't be done. That is my biggest fear, that I will wake up from the op and be told there was too much damage to mytubes and it couldn't be done......:crying:

My mum had her tubes reversed 17 years ago and it took her 5 years after the op to fall pregnant and then she fell pregnant straight after that pregnancy so i have a 13 and 12 year old sister's.
Also around the same time an aunty of mine had it done and her tubes were to damaged and she ended up getting an infection, and she never got pregnant.
:fingerscrossed: for you and i hope it goes well:hugs:

Hi everyone,
Thank you lee for the info... I guess i am jst gonna have to be patient, (well try to be at least) and put my trust in god and my doc.
We have considered ivf, but my hubby isn't all that keen on idea, only for what i will have to go through, as far as the daily injections and the other hormones etc....
Hubby really wants to keep ivf as a last resort. My gyno says the same thing and promises that he wont do the reversal and charge us the cash if he doesn't think it will work. Once again, have to hope we can trust him too.....

Hi everyone. I am new to this thread and have thoroughly enjoyed reading your stories. I too have been searching to have the reversal. I did not have the fishe clips, I had a cut and tie. I would like to offer, I have contacted several Drs on this. There is Dr Woolcot in Newcastle and Dr Cooper in Sydney. I have unfortunately been told my tubes are very damaged but I can still have the reversal done. I don't really have the money, but I am hoping to find it while praying and seeking God. I would really love to hear from anyone else who has had the reversal and knows of any information on the doctors.
