Hi there,

I am new to working from home and will be doing it two days a week starting next week. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on keeping a 17 month old occupied while I work. It is computer based work so interuptions are fine but need something that will keep her interested for a while (not TV). Does anyone have anything that worked for them?

TIA

I'm in the same boat - I do all my work after she goes to sleep and when she has her day sleep. My DD is 16 months old.
I have no solutions for how to keep occupied - I feel wracked with guilt when I work instead of play.
Such a hard one - obviously - as no one has any ideas of how to help yet!!!
Will definitely be checking this post for ideas though!

my sister got a large playpen (youknow the wooden ones that open up) and used it to section of most of the lounge room).

inside the area she had her table with laptop and heaps of my nephews favourite toys, pots and pans (he loves smashign them - even though its noisy), a bubble machine thing that used to blow bubbles and a big rug so he wouldn't hurt himself. Although he was about 14mths so a bit younger.
