View Full Version : Decided To Stop Clomid.....
My husband and I have decided not take the clomid tablets anymore! I had one cycle on them and did O but I had no CM??? I had bad side affects as well while on it and really don't feel like going through that again. I just got my AF today D35. So I am going to have a go at TTC this month with out being on it and see how the CM goes, as before I went on clomid I definatelty noticed the fertile CM.
I am a Christian and when my gyno said I could go on the clomid I was unsure and felt like I was putting my faith in some medication and not God! I feel alot better now I have made the decision as I was so unsure about the whole thing!
So now I am trusting in God as He is the one who ultimately open and closes the womb!
Will keep you informed!:)

But didn't god create these men who invented great drugs like clomid to help people get prengnant?
Good luck with your TTC, i hope it works out for you al la natural.
yes God did create man to invent these drugs to help people and I am not against people taking it, but for me I didn't think I really needed to be on it as the gyno never really ruled out that I wasn't Ovulating? She just assumed. Thanks for the reply!

I think you made the right decision, if you werent happy taking them then best not to
Good luck and hope the stork drops off a little package soon :fingerscrossed:
If you feel happy with your decision then it is the right one for you. I cannot tell you if I think it is right or wrong because I am not religious so dont believe that it can be left up to 'anyones' hands...
However i do think you should be well informed and wanted to point out that:
* if CM was a problem try PreSeed or another sperm friendly lubricant that can assist the little swimmers to the egg
and
* i take my Clomid tablets at night just before getting into bed, my FS suggested this is the best way to minimise side affects. My 1st cycle i had none and this cycle i just had a slight metallic taste at the end of taking the tablets for a couple of days.
Good luck in whatever you decide anyway! :fingerscrossed:

Hi goin44, I just want you to know that i completely understand the struggle that you are going through... i too was in the same boat. But in saying that DH and i tried for three years with no success ( i have PCOS) and although i had the same thoughts as you, i do believe that God wants to give us the desires of our heart and for us that was the only opption at the time so now i can hold, kiss and cuddle my little mirical thanks to clomid and God of course... God does know what you want and need and i believe he will give you that when the timming is just perfect...
Best wishes for you at this time....
Thanks for your replies,
I fully understand that we might need to go on clomid when there is reason to, but for me i really didn't think i needed to as there was no real evidence that i wasn't Oing! All the best for those who are on it and TTC!!!
