Was just wondering when your bub started to nurse quicker?
DD is 9 weeks and takes around 40mins to an hour to feed. Shes not sucking for all this time as she often fussys around but just feel like all I do is feed, change nappy, quick tummy time and then shes ready to sleep again!
So when did your bub get quicker?

Around 3 months.
Its ok to take baby off when they have stopped sucking, stopped swallowing or are falling asleep. If you think she still needs more milk, switching sides when the sucking slows can encourage them to suck effectively again. You can do this 2,3 or more times in a single feed. Not all babies physically detach themselves when they are finished
It's also ok to end the feed after around 40 minutes, and offer again later if you think bubs still hungry

Yes around 3 months.
It's a pain but now I wish DS took longer to feed so I could occasionally watch tv. He's over and done with in 5 minutes these days (except when falling asleep on boob and takes forever)

I am lucky for us it was 2 weeks old! But then maybe my DS is just a quick feeder and the longer feeds were just when we were both learning. He feeds for approx 10 mins each side sometimes less. He's now 5.5 weeks and gaining a lot of weight.
I was recording my feeds and aiming for 20 mins each side and noticed after a while he would become fussy after about 10 mins. At first I was frustrated he wasnt feeding properly for the whole 20 mins but then decided to try taking him off once he got fussy, and it worked! After a few feeds like this he started taking himself off at 10 mins.
Not sure if u have tried taking her off earlier? She will let you know if she hasn't had enough. Just a thought, but may not work. Good luck! ;)

With both my DD and my DS now, they never came off, they would "nibble" endlessly, and in a semi sleep state and would stay there. DD started to get efficient from 3-4 months. Feeds cut down to 15 minutes but then came the frustrating part of refusing to feed because looking up at mum or the world was way more fun! It will
Get a lot easier very soon!

Sorry I can't be of much help as DD was a quick feeder from a few days after birth. It may help to know that she got a lot quicker around 3 months. She is now 7 months and finishes her feeds in well under 10 minutes more like 5 l. I have always had a very fast flow and she's always had a super suck lol
