I have been pumping a bottle of EBM for DD every day for my DH to feed her at night. This has been going fine but it is a bit time consuming as I only have a manual pump.

Would an electric one work faster? I am considering getting one if it can help with the time factor. Also does an electric pump work better at stimulating a let down?

Thanks for reading

I bought an electric pump when DS was born - GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!

10-15min on each side & your done! Unfortunately I didn't BF for long so its sitting in the box waiting for #2 when it comes along.

I think they are so worth it, saves your wrist, you just sit there & milk away!:D Mine cost about $160 from Babies Galore. Pigeon brand. Mine is a single grip. You can get double but they are alot more expensive.

I can't answer you rQ re: Stimulation sorry. I think everyone would be different

Anyway, I hope that helps.

Goodluck:hugs:

 maybe look at hiring one first and then you can see if it works better. I have an electric one but i still have probs sometimes getting the let down, it works a lot better for me if i do it while feeding at the same time (thanks ocars mummy...lol). I think you can hire them from some chemists or check out the ABA website.
