How long to keep on AR formula?

We recently changed DD from heinz to karicare AR and have had brilliant results, shes only just spitting upa tiny bit now compared to truck loads before... so not wanting to rock the boat but having never used an AR formula before (tried with DS who had reflux so bad he was hospitalised numerous times and it made no difference) .... but wondering how long do I keep her on it.... indefinitely? or for a certain amount of time then swap her back?

I used the Karicare AR with DD up until she was 12mths old. DS had some feeding issues and just refused the AR formula.

Charmaine, I've never used the AR formula but I'd probably check with my MACH nurse or GP as to how long to use it.

I also used it until she went onto cows milk at 12 months.

I called the Karicare info line because I thought she needed to go on follow on formula around 6 months but the lady there told me that it's not necessary with the AR formula, she could just stay on it until she was ready for cows milk.

It's magic stuff huh, it was the only formula we could find that didn't make her constipated :(

thanks for the responses girls! I will check with my MCHN next month but will probably just keep her on it til shes weaned.

It sure is magic stuff.. its the only stuff that stays in her stomach lmao
