Was it a miscarriage?

Hello - I have a perhaps strange question to ask about an incident around January this year... I was on the pill at the time and one day when I went to the toilet and wiped there was like this really small (but big enough to see) jelly blob on the tissue, and to me it looked like it had a little / or the beginnings of a vertabrae and the blob was a bit curly in nature. I don't remember much else about it, I'm not a heavy bleeder so it didnt come with a lot of blood, and I can't remember any pain... and I really haven't thought about it since, as I was a bit freaked out by it at the time and got rid of it very quickly. Now however, I'm ttc and I've just been wondering whether it was like a very early miscarriage, or whether I have an overactive imagination???

From what you described, it sounds like it could have been something. But usually there would be blood aswell :confused: . Can you remember where you were in your cycle?

It's probably best to put it behind you and focus on TTC'ing. It shouldn't affect your chances.

I've had two miscarriages at around 5 and 6 weeks and both times they were characterised by spotting followed by a normal period-like bleeding. At that stage the embryo is so small that I don't think you would see it and certainly not vertebrae.

I've had a similiar experience three times but I was aware my period was late. The first time...it was like you described but I saw less definition in the blob and the second and thrid time it was followed by bleeding...
