View Full Version : sore mouth
i am 35 weeks preg and for a week i have had a sore ear and my teeth and gum are soo sore, like every tooth has a tooth ache. i got my ear checked which ruled out ear infection. is this a preg thing where your teeth hurt? i cant last 4 more weeks of this :banghead: and cant go to dentist cause its not 1 tooth thats hurting. i have switched to that sensidyne toothpaste but so far its not working
Could you be clenching/grinding your teeth while you sleep at the moment?
I get this feeling every so often (pg or not) and find I'm clenching my jaw shut while I sleep. Unfortunately I can't suggest anything granteed to help, maybe some panadol or panadeine.

This exactly happened to me from about 25 weeks onwards, it's aching of the whole gum and teeth feel like they are hurting too. I think pregnancy makes your mouth more senstive. With DS1 I had one tooth that had to be pulled out.
Brushing is painful and bleeds. It will soon pass, I recko it is a side effect of pregnancy, the soreness.
I wish I would have got my teeth looked at bfroe pregnancy as any holes seemed to be made felt alot worse during pregnancy.
Perhaps you should go to the dentist and get your teeth checked over. You can have dental treatment if it's necessary during pregnancy. And while you say it all your teeth, the dentist might still be able to work out what the problem is and make some suggestions.
Best wishes and hang in there.
