I was wondering if anyone has breastfed while pregnant? I am still breastfeeding DS (who is nearly 13mths), and we are ttc#2. I dont feel like I want to give up bf'ing DS yet.

Is it possible to bf and be pregnant? Is it possible to bf both babies?

You sure can breastfeed whilst you are pregnant and continue to feed both (tandem feed) once the 2nd bubba is born.

There are quite a few people that do tandem feed. I am breastfeeding my DS who is 19 months and intend to keep going once my 2nd bub comes along in December.

As for tiredness when breastfeeding pregnant I wouldn't say I was more tired than any other pregnant women out there.;)

I was thinking this exact same thing yesterday, as I'm freaking out I'm preggers- find out Thurs after my husband comes home with a test tomorrow night- the nearest chemist/supermarket 150kms away.

Yep you sure can!! Im pregnant now & have been breastfeeding my 17mth old DD throughout the whole time. Someone told me that it was bad for the baby to breastfeed while pregnant but i asked around to a few doctors & midwives & they said its perfectly fine :) I am also going to feed both babies well one baby & one toddler once the little one gets here :thumbsup:

I breastfed my twins before I knew that I was pregnant, but the taste must have changed because they started whinging and crying when it came to feeding them and they started not to want to drink from me,

some women find their milk dries up a little when pregnant or it changes taste - for some bubs this dosn't bother them one little bit for other bubs it turns them off the breast.;)
