Mater Mothers Hospital, Brisbane

Just want to do a massive shout out to the Mater in Brisbane.

I was referred to the Maternal Fetal Medicine unit and I am absolutely blown away with the treatment we've received so far...... and we've still got 3 months to go. They are all so on-the-ball and they take care of absolutely everything, including ringing me at home the next day to follow up.

We have a whole lot of issues to deal with for this pregnancy/birth and I really should be shaking in my boots with panic but I have every faith in everyone we have met, and are scheduled to meet. Big thanks to the Obstetrician, the cardiologist, the midwife case manager, the sonographers and the social worker. (and to the receptionists, yes I will bring Tim Tams next time).

They are awesome Changedmymind. Our social worker from Prince Charles (where kids cardiac was before they moved to Mater) was awesome...then he went and left! But the cardiac liaison nurses are awesome and the staff are just so friendly. We are considering having Kaden's next open heart surgery at mater as the RCH in Melbourne are having major cancellation issues. Kaden has had 2 surgeries for hypospadius at Mater and could not fault them
