Disaster 1st Birthday

I had DS 1st birthday party on Sunday. It was a disaster. There was gale force winds, we ended up having to leave early. We had it at the local park and there were trees falling down and everything. :( My DS didn;t get to play on the equipment like I wanted to do, didn't get to have candles on his cake, and every now and then there'd be a big gust of wind and dirt would get in everyone's eyes. It scared my nephew so much that he let out an ear peircing squeal. It was awful, but so funny (only once we got home).

Anyway, had to tell someone. I don't know if I'll throw any more parties for him seeing as his Christening was meant to be a garden ceremony and it rained and his Birthday was at the park and we had gale force winds. :o

Hmmm next time you couldn't have the party in Qld could you, we could really do with the rain;)

Poor little fella though, but at least his parties will always be memorable:thumbsup:
