The other day I was upstairs cleaning and had been contemplating putting DD's cot into her room so figure while I was there, I would.

She's been in her cot 2 nights already(this being the third night), and she's going really well! She goes straight to sleep, doesn't wake during the night(that I know of), and has even managed to entertain herself a little while I drag my sorry backside out of bed.

I've got a problem though, every night when I go to bed I lay there thinking about dragging her cot back into my room!
I Miss her! I miss the heavy breathing!! I miss the silly little sounds she makes in her sleep!! And I even miss her snoring!!
I can't fall asleep anymore :(

I am really really really trying hard not to give in and share a room with her again! but guess I'm waiting for that feeling to pass... if it does:thumbsdown:

...Just had to share.

Record her noises and sleep with a walkman?

Sorry I can't help you. Being woken up 57 times a night by her heavy breathing, snoring and funny little noises was pretty much why DD has been in her own room since she was 2 weeks old! We both sleep better that way.

Our DD slept in her cradle in our room up until 3wks ago - she is almost 14mths old. We loved having her so close and as you said listening to her every sound. She got a bit of a cold and was so snuffly we thought that maybe she would like to have more room to roll around so with trepidation we put her in her cot in her nursery. She took to it like a duck to water. Mummy and Daddy however are still not coping!!! DH gave himself a headache the first night listening to the baby monitor all night. We still go in around 3-4 times a night to check on her and we have the monitor on alllllllllllllllll night!
