Ok so my ds has had nappy rash on and off the last 3 weeks it clears up for a couple of days, and I still use creams and powders every nappy change but it comes back like yesterday I noticed it was coming back so I took him to the gp that just said its normal and from teething and to use hydrozole, but this morning he did a poo and I changed his nappy with in a minute of him doing it (sorry tmi his poo was like water so iam guess that's why it was so bad) and it was bright red and bleeding in some spots, its all around the front of him mainly on his testicles and creases between his legs. Anyone have any fast remedy tips as I cant handle it anymore my poor little boy screams every time its nappy change because he knows iam going to put cream on him, his having nappy free time this morning but its so hard because we are going away and I have so much running around to do today and will have to put him in nappies.
Sorry for the rant but i would love some ideas on what have helped your LO's with nappy rash

I found lanolin or daktozin worked well. Don't use powder.

I agree with zombie kitty, daktozin worked well for us- you can get it at the chemist and don't use powder at all. Also, just using warm water in my little ones bath- no soap for a few days.

If you can't give him lots of nappy free time then how about just changing his nappy lots? This seemed to work for us.

Hope it clears up soon for your little man, it's so awful :(

If you can get your hands on some 100% pure essential Rose oil( it is very exxy though @ about $200 a tiny little bottle) 1 drop in a carrier oil, like Sweet Almond, massaged onto the skin a few times a day works amazingly! Its great for all sorts of skin issues and it doesnt 'go off' so you will have it for ever, its a great investment.

Weleda nappy cream - its amazing stuff about $17 a tube but so worth it!

I used paw paw ointment on DD and a rash that had been around for a few days cleared in a matter of hours. We also had her sleep nappy free to air it all out.
