Physical side effects of weaning?

I've nearly finished weaning my 9 month old off the breast, we're down to 1 feed every 2 days (if you could call it a feed).

I've noticed today that I have a real metallic taste in my mouth. Certain drinks and foods taste acidic and unpleasant.

We are also TTC again, however I've never been able to fall pregnant before until I fully gave up b/f.

Can anyone offer any advice? Has anyone ever had this metallic taste in their mouth as a side effect of weaning?

I'm not weaning but ttc and dd has recently increased her number of feeds. I have had the metallic taste but AF arrived earlier today so maybe it is breastfeeding causing it.
