Anyone know where I can buy some wheat free bread in Southern Tas for a low FODMAP diet for my son? I'd like to avoid gluten free if possible only so I am not taking out fructose and gluten in one step or we risk missing the problem.

I'm not familiar with that diet so forgive me if this is a stupid suggestion, but my mum is allergic to wheat and she buys the Bakers Delight Sourdough. It's not gluten free, just wheat free.

Have you looked at buying spelt bread?

Thanks guys. It's been a big learning curve this diet. Apparently he can't have spelt bread and he can't have the bakers delight sourdough as it's based on Rye which he also can't have. At this point I've just had to go with gluten free bread and make sure there's gluten in other areas.
For texture and taste I'd still like a better bread though. I've been experimenting with my breadmaker but it's not really going my way. He can eat oat, barley, sorghum, tapioca, rice, maize and quinoa as well as the pure gluten you can buy. Third attempt is baking as I write this :fingerscrossed:
You can get wheat free bread at Coles & Woolies in Perth the brand is country life. Hope this helps :)
