There is probably a thread already for this but I couldn't find it.... (I am wayyy tired - bad night) Anyway after reading Nicole79 recipe for custard I have began searching for more recipes for a 6 month old, but can't find any...

So does anyone else have any recipes that are suitable for a 6 month old they would like to share... :D

Im looking forward to feeding ollie solids.
My midwife has told me not to start solids until 6 months although i know babies to be eating at 4 months. Now im not sure what to do.....

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I have the Womens Weekly 'Fresh food for babies and toddlers' also. I highly recommend it!! Its a great book, shows you through how to do all the fruit and vege purees, and different combinations to try. It also shows you different foods that are suitable for different ages.

6 months is still the recommendation for introducing solids, although some do start earlier. Some babies will take to it earlier, but most won't. There are signs to check whether your bub is ready, including, but not limited to: opens mouth when you bring a spoon to it, good head control, can sit up, teeth, showing an interest in your food (ie. grabbing it out of your hand).
