ok, so I realize this isn't just a lesbian issue, but couldn't figure out where else to post this.

DP and I have our appointment at the FS on 19/8. :smiliedance:
DP is concerned that once she is UTD she won't feel up to car shopping etc, so we are trying to do all our research now so that when we are ready to buy we already know what car we want.

So we have us, 2 labs and are planning for 2 little people (I realize it will take a while for this plan to come true, but hey no harm planning for the future is there?). We often visit family that is about 5hr drive away. Currently we just throw the dogs in the back seat and the luggage in the boot and go. We'd love to be able to do the same once our little person/people arrive.

We thought maybe a 7 seater, but don't want something that looks like a bus! This way the adults in the front, little people on the 2nd row of seats and the labs on the third row of seats, still with enough room for luggage/stroller etc in the back.

I have seen the Holden captive, but the 3rd row is virtually against the rear windscreen. Thought maybe a ford territory or a Toyota kluger?

Surely someone else has a similar situation?
Can anyone give suggestions on cars to look at?
Or even feedback on the territory or kluger?

Thanks for reading and replying! Have a great day.

I'm an intruder to here sorry but wanted to say that the Kluger would be a good one to have or the Territory but I'd go with the Kluger because I love Toyotas lol.

No worries, "intruder". As I said I'm sure it's not just same sex couples who face this issue. Thanks for your input. Other than liking toyota's any other reasons why the kluger would win your vote?

It has the space you would need for pets and children and all the safety features of a Toyota along with the reliability of a Toyota. They rarely have a problem and when they do the parts are easy to come by at the right price without having to wait to order parts in or paying big money like if you buy some types of cars that need specific parts that cost way more than generic parts. I know when my antenna broke it was about 30 to fix it whereas my mum snapped hers off and had to buy one specifically for that type of car and it was going to cost her over 100 to fix it so she has her own music now instead of the radio lol.

Yeah that's my reasons:
safety
space
reliability
cost of parts and services

I have a few friends that have the Territory and they all complain about the amount of fuel they use, so maybe something to take into consideration, seeing as you both do a bit of driving :)

We have a Nissan Elgrand, it's an 8 seater but a van. I reckon they are great cars and we're so glad we bought it! We are raising my brothers 3 kids who are teens, we want 2 of our own and we have 3 dogs so there is plenty of room for all of us.

Toyota Kluger all the way!

We have one and love it - we only have the fur family to fill it now- and all our friends, but we got it with the intention of filling it with kiddies too!
