Okay I have a really strange, silly question to ask...
I know with singlets babies wear them in winter to make them warmer, so in summer can we ditch the singlet or is there another reason they wear them...

Sorry for the silly question, it's just whenever I think of a baby/toddler I think of them as wearing singlets...

My bub was born in summer and all she wore for the first few weeks was a singlet and nappy - will be doing the same this summer around the house too!

If we go out though, we will ditch the singlet and put on a dress or tshirt.

No medical reason for them wearing a singlet in summer - personal preference really!

this is stupid question by me but what do you put bub in to go to bed??..

on hot day now i just leave bub in a singlet and nappie and if we are going out i put a t-shirt on without a singlet if it is really hot.....

hope you dont mind me asking that harmony.........

At the moment I am putting him in a light body suit and wrapping him in a cotton sheet with a light blankie over him, as it gets warmer I'll put him in a single and nappie...

I am not a big fan of putting singlets on my daughter in summer but my mum says that i should as it absorbs their sweat and stops them from getting chills. Seems a bit old school to me.

With my daughter in summer, i put her in those one piece t-shirt suits that go over the nappies, this stopped the singlets from creaping up when crawling etc.

I don't use singlets at all. As another person said they creep up. In winter i use long sleeve body suits that clip under nappy and put clothes on top. In summer I find singlets cling to much and prefer just t-shirt. I think it is all personal choice really.
