I am 29 with a ds born on 23 July 06. At the moment I am a SAHM as I am on Mat leave. My husband left when bub was 3 1/2 weeks old :crying: and all our friends were joint. I feel like I have no close friends around as my best friend is moving to SA in a weeks time and my other friend lives 1 hour away and works full time. I would like to meet some other mums in the area hoping to make a new circle of friends. I am extremely shy but need to change that to move forward for both myself and my beautiful baby boy (he is my life);) .

Hey there, well i don't live near you yet, but will be moving to Northquarter (Murrumba downs) next year. I won't know anyone down there either. I think there would be some mother's groups or something you could look into and go together with your son. Sorry to hear about your partner leaving you, that's very sad. You sound like you adore your son and i'm sure he's just beautiful :D

I go walking with Fran as well, but tomorrow we are meeting (well hoping) at 9am (if fran can get her stuff together!)

We meet at the Cafe there at the information centre. Walk two laps then let the kids run amuck.
