Hi, my DH and I will be ttc in October. I have endo and had a lap in dec 09 where they also found PID (not from an Sti). I have been off the pill for 12 months as we were meant to ttc at the start of the year but this was postponed. I went to the doc with left sided pain a few weeks back and I had an u/s to check for cysts. It came back clear but I and the doc suspect endo is returning. The pain is bearable so she has left it up to me if I want to see the gyno again. I know if I see the gyno she will want to do another lap but I worry about causing more scar tissue from the op and as we haven't yet tried for a baby I'm not sure what to do. should I get another lap or try ttc first? The gp has left it up to me. DH and mum think we should try first and see how we go, if no success then go back and have an op. Any advice? This plays on my mind all the time and it causing me some stress.

Hi,

I am waiting to speak to DR about treatment for my endo - it will be either lap surgery or trying IVF again. I have been TTC for 2 and a half years and have had 2 miscarriages in the process. So getting pregnant is possible atm. Although I am not in the exact position as you, we have similarities!!

Perhaps you could try for a a few months and see how you go. Are you ovulating OK? You may be able to conceive even with your endo and putting a time limit it may give you peace of mind that you wont be wasting time if you did need surgery after 2 or 3 months??

Fingers crossed that you wont need more surgery!!

(I hope all goes well either way!)
