How far into your pregnancy do you tell everyone?

I was wondering who you tell on the day you find out its a BHP?
we only told our family and we are waiting to see our friends face to face before we tell them, but my MIL isnt telling anyone til we make the 3 month mark and she said i shouldnt tell many til then,:shame: as we never know what may happen.
I was wondering what you all do and if your friends understand that you need to enjoy your news first before telling them?

I'm EDD 3 June - I think just about the same time as you - and I have told my Mum, my bestie and a few girls at my church who were all praying for me. We are going to 'spread the news' once we see a heartbeat :D

i was about 4 months pregnant when i told ppl only cause my mum was plannin on goin overseas and i knew if i had told her before she went she would change her mind and not go so i told mum when she got back and i told every one else after her

We told the news once we had the first scan at 12 weeks.

Well , only my very close Family and 2 Friends got the news the day I got PG . The others were told around 10 / 12 weeks ... just in case ...

Yes, but what about telling people about ivf. So many people ask "when are you guys going to have a baby? Are you trying?? etc etc". I usually say we are waiting for IVF because things are a bit more complicated. But people always seem to want to know more- so annoying. How do you keep it secret especially when your birthday is coming up and friends wqant to get together for drinks and spot you not drinking???? What do you say??? And speaking of which - even though we have just started our first cycle I'm not drinking - but would one drink hurt???? Please let me know so i can avoid confrontations with friends.
