View Full Version : Calling All Pine Rivers Women!!!

Hiya Guys  , I have been back in the Pine Rivers for a year now after having my 13mth old sweetie in WA and I have found it very difficult to get involved with other women (Mothers) who want to do stuff for themselves. B4 baby I was interested in hiking, reading (especially middle eastern women's issues), 5 O'Clock drinkies and dinners. I know life is difficult fwith little ones BUT we have to remember who we are  , which makes for happy babies. SOOO....are there any women out there that would like to form a social group of gals who get together and have time for ourselves?? Set up book club, meet for a drink once a fortnight, plan bushwalking one Sunday and have picnic and/or just have conversation about what interests us??? Don't get me wrong I love my sweetie Molly but time for us is just as important. I work as a nurse 2-3 days a week but am available Mon, Thurs, Fri & Weekends (have great hubby :yelclap: ). Let me know Gals......look forward to meeting up :smiliedance:
Cheers

It's great to hear from a woman out there who is interested in having some time for herself :yelclap: . It's very important but as mothers we tend to give give give and I think that maybe we should do some taking.....I look forward to chatting to you. Ferny Grove is not far at all....

Hey, that sounds really nice to actually talk about other things not thomas the tank engine or wiggles or whatever. I would be keen to do something like that I am only a young mum it seems to be as I am only 25 and my little one is 3 but would love to go out every now and then. As I work sometimes on the weekends doing party plan. But count me in if you do organise a event
oops i put up my post before i finished reading threads.....count me in if you want to get together!
Tones...
time for ourselves what a rare thing ....Sometimes it is soooo hard just to keep up with things..

Hiya guys, Sorry it has taken me for ever to get back to this thread...I was thinking there were no women out there wanting to time to themselves. I was thinking maybe I was being a selfish....but my husband asures me NO!!.. Anyway would love to meet you all and throw around some ideas. It doesn't have to be anything I suggested...it could be anything each of you are interested in. May be we all do something new once a month??? Or meet for drinkies every second Fri night or get that book club going. Whatever...I'm just glad to hear from you all :smiliedance: because if sing anymore nursery songs and start a conversation with "where's teddy??" I think I will defineatly go potty :banghead: !! Any sugestions guys on a time and place to meet....
Cheers

Hiya Guys, As you can read Alison has generously invited us to her house in about 2 wks time. It would be great if all interested inthis thread and getting a social life outside babies were able to come. If not let us know and I will keep you informed on this thread as to other times we will get together. I'm off to work for a couple of days now so I may not be able to check in to the hub but keep the ideas flowing and hopefully we can get this social life off to a great start  . I really look forward to meeting you all and having a laugh :ecomcity: .

Hiya Pine River Ladies, my hubbie Justin and I have just returned a couple of hours ago from an early morning beach play with Molly at Settlement Cove :smiliedance: . How nice it is done there!!! Molly had a ball, filled her nappy with sand (Mum didn't think she would be up for the water...will know next time) and Mum and Dad had a wonderful time watching our little lady lunge into the water. As a trip within our social group , we should get the kids togther one day and take a trip to the beach and the lagoon. Anyway I do hope you all can come to Allison's arfo tea to meet everyone :fingerscrossed: . I can't wait to get to know all that choose to come. Anyway I hope you are all having a great Sunday....now I'm off for a swim in our pool. Will post a thread next week to find out numbers for Allison....talk to you all then.
Cheers

Hi KArla,
Isn't the lagoon GREAT!!!!! :yelclap: We love it so so much! It is such a friendly family atmosphere!
Anyway....I would love to be a part of this fun Mums "get out" times! Won't be able to do much this month as my little man (Liam) is having an operation this Thursday, so I'm not sure how he is going to be after!
Will keep an eye on this post though! Great idea - and good to see so many women out there keen to "get out"
Thanks
