Hello,

I am currently living in Brisbane but soon to relocate to Melbourne. :yelclap:
I have never been to Melbourne in my life and DH and I need IVF to conceive our first child together,so I was thinking that maybe someone here that currently lives in Melbourne and is receiving treatment from one of the clinics can answer some questoins for me???

I want to ask if you did any research into which clinic you would use?
I am not sure who to go through, Melb IVF or Monash???

Do these clinic's charge around the same? I am waiting on some info to be posted out to me but am just wanting to get a head start.

Have you have a positive time in dealing with your clinic and Doctor?

DH and I have been married for 6 yrs and during this time we have been ttc, with a break of about 18months. In that time I Donated Eggs to a Family Member who now has a baby girl. :) :)

Our main difficulty is MF, so we will need to do ICSI.

Any Info would be great.

Thankyou
MrsPee

Hi MrsPee.

I have been going through IVF Melbourne and my specialist was Dr Jim Tslatas . I had to go to a public hospital for the pick up and the transfer as I haven't got a private insurance .

I was really happy with them and they were very efficient when I was asking questions .

Good luck .

Hi there:wave: , I went through Melb IVF and they were wonderful. I have had all positive experiences with them. Im not sure but I think most places would charge the same. I had my egg pick ups done in a public hospital at the Royal Women's in Melb and they were fantastic there.

Good luck with everything!!:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

I think that I will go with MIVF. I have requested some info from them and :fingerscrossed: As soon as I get to Melbourne I will get the ball rolling.

Thanks

I went through Melb IVF too (public) at The Royal Womens. I just needed a doctors referral to get us started. We didn't end up needing full IVF as we were lucky to conceive after 3 A.I cycles. Also, as we went public we got back the maximum medicare rebate on all our fees. The appointments were all covered by medicare so we only paid for our treatments. The only downside is that the wait time between appts was approx 2 months, so it was a good 12 months from start to finish.
I wish you every success with your journey. :fingerscrossed:
