yay someone is in here. I thought no one would ever post. Do you know what your having yet or keeping it as a surprise? I hopefully find out in 2 weeks if bub cooperates.

I found out about 3 weeks ago we are having a girl, and then had a 3d home ultrasound 2 weeks ago and they said boy. I am more inclined to believe the professional one we had from the imaging place rather then the window to the womb one. The window in the womb people didnt charge us as they couldnt get any great photos as baby was being very stubborn with back to us the whole time so they are going to come again when i am about 26-27 weeks and do it again.
This hasnt stopped me from buying lots of girls clothes in the meantime. Hopefully you will have better luck and be able to find out what you are having, does your partner want to know? I had to convince mine.

dh didnt mind either way and i said im definetely finding out. How annoying that they have said girl, than boy a little confusing. Hopefully at 27-28 weeks the window to the womb place can get better pics and see a girl :D Im going to an imaging centre that does 3d too so super excited. Never had that done with ds. You still working? I never got to work after ds who is 3 so will be a little longer now.

Good news yay. My mother in law works in radiology dept at fairfield hospital and one of the sonographers said i can come in tomorrow for a 5 minute u/s and she will let us know the sex. Killing me having to wait any longer, want to buy winter clothes for next year while on clearance.Im still working but only until the end of August i know i will have 3 months before the baby is born but my husband wants us to have a little holiday and just relax a bit before hand. At the moment i work in a childcare centre so keep getting sick from all the kids and its a physical job as we do 9 hrs a day.At the moment i am going to go back to work in January 2013, but hubby wants me to be pregnant around then so i might not go back at all.

kirstyandmick - ohh exciting, tell us how ultrasound goes and whether you were able to find out what your having :) Its nice to have a closer gap sometimes, is that what your husband wants? I bet the days are tiring, im still looking after my first and cant imagine childcare where theres potentially 15 of him to care for!

Hi Snowflake24-The job is very hectic not at all relaxing and having bad sciatic pain and not being able to move as normal does not help at all. Wow 3 kids you are a braver women then I, i have already said 2 is my limit and i havent even had this one yet.

Mummy2Luca- Have you been to have your scan yet i bet you cant wait to find out what it is. At our extra ultrasound yesterday they confirmed 99% girl, the sonographer even took a picture of the bits for us as she knows i worry. Guess it is good being close to the inlaws.Mick (husband) wants them close together but so do i as we both come from families with 2 a girl first and then a boy and all born close together 13-18 months so we would like that same dynamic if possible. Plus we figure have the kids and focus on that for a couple of years and then once i go back to work we can set about building our new house and things like that (but that didnt stop us from spending the last 2 sundays exploring various display homes).

I love my job and will be sad to miss the kids but it will be nice to just have a break. What did you do before you had kids?

hi everyone - good to see this forum exists. I am 36 & baby n.o 2 is due in September (a boy) so basically i am house bound at the moment because i am huge & its really hard to drag my 14 month old daughter around anymore. After the baby is born it would be good to catch up with some other mums in the area. We live in Mount Annan, so I guess it's close enough to Campbelltown to count.

Good to hear from other mums who are close by. :smiliedance: We only moved here just over a year ago so i dont have any friends here yet.

kirstyandmick - yay thats good that they were sure. Happy about it being a little girl? Scans this friday im so excited lol. Before kids I was at school so havnt done anything since, when this bubba is a little older will get into it all. I love looking at houses and such. bet your excited when you can start getting that underway.

Wicket - hi! Ohh september is getting close, bet you cant wait to be holding baby. Yeah I seem to think when im bigger ill still be able to lug around toddler but I bet I wont feel like it lol. Mount annan is definetely close enough to count (beautiful area too)

thanks mummy2luca - yep its very close, going through the panic stage that i dont have enough baby clothes even though i have plenty of stuff left over from my 1 yr old - its definitely getting difficult to lift her now & change her nappy especially when she decides its play time when i am changing her & she wriggles around - not fun. :p

mummy2Luca
10-08-2011, 07:54
The panick is always fun :P Ill just have to insist my 3 year old walk down the stairs instead of being carried, his very good at walking down them its just soo much funner if i carry him! You having bubs at campbelltown public or a private one?

Ulysses
10-08-2011, 12:55
having him at Mater private in north sydney because that is where i had dd & because i have had a few complications i wanted to stick with the same OB - I have to have a c section so better safe than sorry. It's a bit of a pain though, having to travel to north sydney ever second week for doctor visits & its a bit scary if bubs comes early - i suppose i should have a plan for what to do if that happens. I suppose my other option in an emergency is to go to Campbelltown public? Where are you going to have your baby?

mummy2Luca
11-08-2011, 07:05
wicket - good that your seeing the same ob you trust and the hospital is probably better anyway :) Sucky you have to travel to north sydney though, isnt it weekly in last 2 weeks? either way a long way to travel, hopefully bubs doesnt decide to come early :)

getting ultrasound for morph scan tomorrow so just hope today goes quickly!

Ulysses
11-08-2011, 07:35
yes, i think it does go to weekly - i forgot about that. my doc sends texts to remind me about the appts so i always forget i have one until a couple of days before.

I am going to ask doc if we can deliver him a couple of days earlier, because at the moment the c section is set for 39 weeks 2 days but he only operates on Mondays & Fridays, so the only earlier delivery i could have would be 38 weeks 5 days - that was when my dd was delivered & she was fine. He might not go for it though, they tend to want to leave in there until 39 weeks. It's just the risk that he will come early & we are so far away.

How exciting about your scan - where are you having it. i went to TARA Imaging in campbelltown & they were fantastic. Some places are good & others are a bit dodgy. I am sure tomorrow will come quickly & you will be able to see your baby - how exciting. Are you going to find out if it is a girl or a boy?

kirstyandmick
11-08-2011, 12:27
Wow the thread has been busy in the last little bit.

Wicket - we live in harrington park so not quite campbelltown but i dont think it matters everyone is in a similar situation and looking for peopleto connect with, i dont have many friends around the area as most are childless or single or moved over seas once school finished.

Mummytoluca- how exciting am nervous for you for tomorrow to find out what you are having.

I am havingthe baby at campbelltown have decided to give it a go as i have only heard good things. I have been classed as high risk from the start so at least i get to see an ob and midwife alternately. Am a bit annoyed they have already put me on a 3 week check up schedule it will be so much easier when i am on mat leave , the 2nd of september cant come soon enough. At least i know if i am not happy husband said he will let me go private and then i would choose to go to sydney south west in liverpool.

mummy2Luca
12-08-2011, 07:05
wicket - hopefully they let you 38 weeks is far enough i thought. Ohh im going to tara imaging so glad to hear there good :) yep going to find out, will update tomorrow with the answer if i could find out.

Kirstyandmick - 2nd september is atleast soon and will be eeasy when your on maternity leave. Hopefully campbelltown is good and you dont have any issues.

Only a couple more hours until scan now

kirsty&mick - harington park is not far at all, good to know there are other expecting mums close by. My c section is booked fo 2nd september at the moment - but i am trying to move it closer as the hospital is not close to us.

MUMMY2LUCA - yep, tara are great - probably the nicest place to go with regard to making you comfortable. I am sure you will be able to find out the sex of the baby - how exciting.

mummy2Luca

Kristyandmick you could try Connections at smeaton grange, they are a gym/health club which has a swim centre underneath which is not ran by the gym however. They may have classes for pregnant mums as they do classes for babies.

hi ladies, just wanted to say hi. I'm a mum, doula and childbirth educator in Campbelltown and I wanted to let you know about a new resource for mums (and mums-to-be) in Macarthur. It's a website called Macarthur Birth Support and has links to local practitioners ( e.g. doulas, birth classes, complimentary therapy, support groups). It's a work in progress but just trying to get the word out to all the mums out there. Please share with your friends and family. :) Not sure if I'm allowed to put the link in so just google it, it should be the top of the list...? :fingerscrossed: Anyway, it's not a forum (lelaving that to the experts here at bubhub!!) ;) but more of a local directory Would love your feedback! :)

Hi, we are in harrington park i have a 1 yr old little girl. We dont go to playgroup found it easier to meet up with the ladies from the 6 weeks classes you do through community centre after having baby
