shortening Delilah

we love the name Lily for our girl but with our last name starting and ending very similarly to Lily it def doesn't flow well

we had Lily-Rose as an option but i'm falling out of love with it

i am loving Delilah (with Rose as a middle name) and am thinking maybe we can use Lily as a nickname or shortening

do you think this works????

to be honest I love Delilah but I instantly wouldn't put lily as a nickname I'd think of del, lilah, lil maybe ?

Yeah I don't really think of Lily as a shortening for Delilah (which I love btw!!).... I think of Lilah.:)

my cousin just had twins and one of them is Lilah so maybe i'm not on the right track with this one ...... this name picking for girls is way too difficult

Love it! I would shorten it to lilah, not lily.

I would steer clear of any lily variation as it is just so common at the moment. I think it was number one in some states last year.
