 Hi Everybody

Day 13 of Lucrin
Day 2 of Puregon
10-14 days til EPU

Well, it has been a bizarre week of ups and downs.

Last night, I started my FSH/Puregon Pen Injections. I had a strange reaction to them. About 10 minutes after I had injected, I came over all dizzy, hot, couldn't breathe, and my heart was racing. I didn't have the emergency mobile number for my nurse, so had to call my GP, who told me to breathe slowly until it passed.

Luckily it did pass. I had to get ready to meet C ten minutes later, to get my next booty of needles etc. Ofcourse, now she is worried about my side effects and I feel awful. But hoping that it doesn't happen again when I do my next dose tonight.

I am really sick with a bad cold, and my DS who is 2 is suffering Tonsillitis and an Ear Infection. Poor Bubba. Plus it's school holidays at the end of next week, and my EPU is probably going to happen on around the 4th-6th of October. Smack bang in the middle of the holidays. We are hoping to secure a babysitter for the day.

At this stage, I am feeling quite terrified of Hyperstimming. I am not close to SIVF, so if anything goes wrong, I'm not able to just pop down to the clinic for a check up. I'm also concerned that something may interrupt my treatment, and the cycle will be cancelled. C has just given me a rundown of the costs involved, and so much of it rests on my ability to produce "the goods"

Other than these worries, I still really excited for C and A, who are getting a step closer to their dream everyday.

Hi angeldoula,

I hope you feel better soon and its a smooth process for you.

How many eggs do you expect to get?
will they all go to the same lady?

What are the rules for donating eggs?

Hello Angeldoula,

Wishing you the very best and take care... C&A are sure to be counting down the days and as you said, closer to their dream come true. You are a very special person and one to be admired for what you are going through in order to help another couple's dream.

I look forward to your journey and C&A's.

Love

To AngelDoula and Sarah,
Fingers crossed for you both that it isn't an ordeal. This is just my opinion, but AngelDoula you really shouldn't be fretting on how you will perform. No matter what the cost, your i/p should and I'm sure will be extremely grateful for what you are doing for her.
Take good care of yourselves,
Elaine.x

Hi Angeldoula & Sarah

I agree with Elaine, it really isn't a matter of you having to perform because the IPs have invested their time and cash in you, I have been a recip of an ED and all I can say is that just having an ED is an amazing gift. I think your fears are all reasonable but for anyone who has done IVF they are pretty much used to these feelings all the time, its the big 'what ifs' that haunt you in the night. You should definately feel free to call your clinic (the doctors or counsellors) whenever you have a slight worry, and they will hopefully look after you like the VIP you are.

What you are doing is amazing, it is a fantastic gift that I can tell you gives people a new outlook on the whole world. Its great that you took that step and are travelling down a road you obviously felt called to travel.

Hope you dont continue to get side effects from the injections. Could it have been anxiety? Have they heard of this sort of thing much at the clinic?

Take care you special lady
