Anyone using satellite (in particular 2 way - as we can't get ISDN)? I need to choose a provider within the next couple of weeks and its driving me nuts. At the top of the list so far is Dragnet so far and I have looked at ClearNetworks, GoBush, Bordernet, Telstra, DCSInet, but if anyone out there has some experience either negative or positive and would like to give me some tips (about any part of it), I'd love to hear them.

Hi
I have 2 way satellite and I use Telstra. I know that they are probably one of the expensive ones but I keep my phone with them aswell. We have a satellite phone setup that has failed a few time lately so I stay with telstra in the hope that when I need it fixed it will be sooner rather than later. I tend to think it would take lomger if I were with someone else. But I have had no trouble at all with the broadband side of things.
Cheers

Hi,
We have 2 way satellite with Telstra; I agree with Tashiesmum that they are probably a little more expensive per month but we have home/offce phones and 3 mobiles with them as well and we get overall consistent (not fantastic) service. Connection via satellite is great except in really windy/stormy weather where it may disconnect for periods of time.
We are in an 18 month contract at the moment with Telstra; once the 18 months is up we will have a look around at other ISP's and see what prices are out there.

Hey thanks for answering! I still haven't decided who we are going with. Probably Dragnet, but I still have to talk to our Telstra rep (we part own a small business that is one of the largest Telstra customers in our region so dh reckons they will cut us a deal... hmmm... I'll believe it when I see it).
I have heard the sat decoder fan is very loud. Do you guys have a problem with it?
