Hello Ladies,

my name is Shan, 31-year-old, and i have PCOS. i have been trying to have a baby for about 2 years already, but i miscarried 3 times since that. i was on Clomid several times before, and then mmc just happened, all of them were before 7 weeks mark. after my third miscarriage in this July, i have decided not to take Clomid anymore for those terrible side-effects.

now, i am taking chaste tree berry/Vitex tablet as i have read some information said that can help women who have PCOS greatly. however, after take that for 3 weeks, i have found my breast hurt all the time but still no period. have tested already... no pg at all.... so just wondering anyone also take chaste tree berry??? any feeling after taking that???

thank you sooooo much for reading my thread :hugs:

all the best :fingerscrossed:

Shan.

Hi Shan, sorry to read about your m/c's, I don't really know much about pcos, but a friend of mine took chaste tree berry/Vitex tablets as she was having trouble concieveing and her cycles were all over the place, on her first mth of taking it she fell preggers, it could be the same for you, giving reason for the sore breasts, what kind of preggy test did you use? some detect higher hcg than others, also is there any expected side effects written on the bottle? maybe ring the company and ask them if there isn't, I wish you all the best in concieveing, :fingerscrossed: it doesn't take you long and that its a keeper

Hi Shan,
I am so sorry to hear of your losses.

I am on Chaste Tree berry but for low progestrone. I am not sure about PCOS either but what I can say is that my breasts have been hurting as well. I am also taking Primrose oil for the sore breasts which doesn't seem to be kicking in yet either. If you think you may be pregnant try a preg test that is sensitive to picking up the HCG levels. I wish you all the best!!

When using chaste tree berry, don’t expect immediate results. It may not have much effect until it is taken for at least 3-6 months.
It’s not the same as taking progesterone. You don’t give it, stop it, and then expect a withdrawal bleed a few days later as you would if you were taking progesterone or synthetic progestins.

Just wondering how many mg are you taking? I found when i was taking the Greenridge brand Vitex in liquid for (2mls) i fell pg the first month of taking it ( i hope it had something to do with it ) I have recently had a m/c and im taking it again but this time im taking Thompsons 1000mg and ive been feeling bit quesy on them. Ive taken this brand before and the same thing happened so maybe its a bit too strong, i just thought this time after my m/c it would help sort my body out a bit better. Maybe its worth asking a a health food shop if they could be contrubuting to you sore boobs? I hope they are sore for another reason ;)
Or maybe your body is getting use to them. :fingerscrossed: that a :bfp: is coming your way:D
