DS has just figured out how to get water out of his sipper cup!! However, he would guzzle all day given the chance, so I'm not sure how much he should be having in order not to fill up on water rather than boob. He's eating 3 solid meals and I offer after each and occasionally if I'm out for coffee or something and he wants what I'm having. Does anyone know?

Give him as much as he wants, I dont think babies take more than what they need. Not like us adults HUH :D
If he loves water thats GREAT and should be encouraged, I say the more the better!

We brought our DS a cup thing too, one of those non spill ones where you have to really suck or bight to get anything out! I let him have it as much as he wants, sometimes he'll just play with it (bite is so water comes out then lets it dribble down his chin) and other time he'll really guzzle it! I figure if he didn't want to drink it he wouldn't and it hasn't affected his feeds at all! And as someone said before me, encourage him to drink water, because apparently some babies really don't like it, then they grow as toddlers who really don't like it?!
