View Full Version : When will new born's poo reduce?
I noticed yesterday that baby only does poo twice in the morning and throughout the night, he only peed. Is it that the poo and pee cycle is getting regular? I mean instead of pooing after every feed. My baby is turning 7 weeks.
His poo colour also changed from yellowish eggy looking to a bit more darker yellow.

It's a bit early to tell at only 7 weeks. I noticed my daughter's cycle became 'predictable' when she started solids. Otherwise it was poo ALL the time. And just when you think it eases up.. BAM! Of course this depends on whether your child is BF or FF :)

Gosh they are little poo machines at the start. Dd was starting to become a bit more regular around 4 months. She pooed at the same times every day about twice a day. When she started solids it changed again to just once a day at the same time. Ds on the other hand was a pooing machine and still is but that's because of his allergies. He used to poo 30 times a day up until he was 10 months now it's just twice or sometimes 3 times a day. they are all a bit different I think.

My DD stopped pooing through the night around 6ish weeks. Her poo cycles in the day have always changed though. Even now they can be pretty unpredictable, but by a few months they had definitely reduced down to a couple a day.
