I really need help!, my 6 month old Daughter will not go to sleep unless she is wrapped tightly. Has anyone got any ideas on how to get her to sleep without being wrapped, I am concerned that with the warmer weather arriving that we will have major problems.
Hi there. Your DD should be ok if wrapped in muslin and wearing only a nappy and maybe a singlet (no blanket/sheet). My DD hated being wrapped so during winter we only wrapped her lower body and left her arms free (in a long sleeve top). She now has a sleeping bag and even though her legs go everywhere, they're still contained and she still falls asleep by herself. Your DD might grow out of this soon so don't worry! :)

I didnt have this problem, but a thought popped in my head, what if you wrap her progressivly less tight each time, til she is ok without needing to be wrapped so tight to sleep.

I had the same problem with DD1.. she didn't sleep unless she was wrapped so i know how frustrating it is. When it came to the warmer months we wrapped her in a very thin wrap with minimal underneath and eventually we progessively unwrapped her and didn't wrap her so tightly then we wrapped her just underneath the arms then eventually after that didn't wrap her at all.
Goodluck :fingerscrossed:
all my kids were wraped and no probs u could put a fan in her room as i do with summer and only singlet and nappy but if shes happy with being wraped then id just leave it at lease shes sleeping
